OUR HISTORY

The Clinton Area Care Center (CACC) operates both Hazel Findlay and Clinton Commons. Thanks to the generous contributions and pledges made by countless Clinton County residents, CACC is community owned and operated.

Clinton Area Care Center Origin:

On January 3, 1978, concerned citizens of Clinton

County met to discuss the need to plan ahead for

the care of the elderly and disabled population.

Their determination was that there was a need for

extended nursing care within the region. They

formed a non-profit corporation, Clinton Area Care

Center, Inc.

The vision of the Board of Directors was to build a

modern long-term health care facility, now known

as Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor (HIFCM).

HIFCM opened in June of 1982 as a nonprofit

company dedicated to providing quality nursing services and beyond to attain or maintain physical, mental and psychosocial well-being of each resident.

Clinton Commons:

A study concluded that there was a great need for more retirement housing options for healthy seniors. After extensive marketing research, the CACC Board of Directors forged ahead to provide those services desired by area residents.

Again, another vision became reality; the opening of an Independent Adult Apartment Living Center featuring 60 spacious apartment homes with an attached Community Center. Retirement living with peace of mind is available in an environment that offers many amenities.

Clinton Commons opened in April of 2000 and is located east of HIFCM with an entrance off of Scott Road.
